Freelance Svelte and SvelteKit developer

I build Svelte and SvelteKit applications from Zaandam, near Amsterdam: shared workspaces, shops and tools people use every day.

The interface and the system behind it

Svelte is my first choice for many new web applications. I like working on interfaces with awkward constraints: several people editing the same thing, a workflow that has to work on a phone, or a screen that must explain a complicated decision without making it look complicated.

I work across the interface, backend and integrations. That can mean starting a product, joining an existing team, or taking over an application that needs someone to understand how its pieces fit together.

Shared state, real users

Guidesty is a SvelteKit and Convex travel planner where a group edits one itinerary. A change to the board also needs to reach the map and everyone else in the trip. It has polls, shared expenses and a Capacitor shell for the phone apps. It is still being built.

Kwantor uses Svelte for a different kind of shared workspace: documents, signatures and equity arrangements. The difficult part is keeping the agreement people see aligned with what the system executes. Multihaarden puts SvelteKit in front of a shop, a Node API and an editorial system.

Starting with the constraint

Tell me who uses the application, what they need to do and what already exists. Those answers determine the architecture. A public page that needs to be found, an authenticated workspace and an app running in a phone shell do not all need the same rendering or deployment setup.

• Guidesty, a group travel planner

  A trip planner a group edits together: an itinerary board on a map, polls, a shared budget, lists and a chat, with an AI that drafts the days. Still being built.

• Platform for universal programmable equity management

  A platform where the equity agreement is not a PDF describing the deal but the thing that runs it: signed once, then executed by software, with the tokens on a real ledger.

• Web shop and headless CMS for a fireplace retailer

  A shop for bio-ethanol, electric and garden fireplaces, built on a platform I already had: a SvelteKit front on Vercel, a Node API on App Engine, a schema-driven CMS, and Mollie for the money.
